In the sleepy southern village of Seenigama, something very special is happening. Devastated by the 2004 tsunami, the village elder Kushil Gunasekera, who also happens to be Murali's agent decided to turn the disaster into a positive.

Along with Murali they have created an environment that offers hope, support and job prospects to the struggling local community. At the heart of this is the MCC Centre of Excellence, which as the name suggests a donation from the games former governing body.

A beautifully manicured ground is surrounded by superb training facilities, a majestic pavilion and the smiley faces of disadvantaged children who have been given a crack at a more fulfilling life through the work of the Foundation. Visiting teams are actively encouraged to get involved in the rehabilitation process and will find it a hugely rewarding experience.
